Growing crops is one of the key tasks in the game, as it is an integral part of farm management. You need to regularly harvest crops to feed animals and obtain fruit and vegetables required for cooking and baking.

There are two main types of plants in the game: regular and special (heat-loving) plants.

Regular plants include wheat, corn, potatoes, strawberries, and carrots. At the very beginning of the game you can only grow wheat, but as you level up, other plants become available to you.
Special (heat-loving) plants can be grown starting from level 14, and they include sugar cane, cotton, and apples. They are grown similar to the regular plants, although there are some differences which we will cover later in this article.

So, what do you need to do to harvest crops?
First and foremost, you need to buy vegetable patches where you will be growing regular plants. To acquire a vegetable patch, tap on the building icon:

Place the patch on any available spot at your home location and confirm your choice by tapping on the green button:

Hurray! Now you have a vegetable patch to sow plants. Tap on the parch to see the panel with the icons of different vegetables. The vegetables that are shown in bright colors can be planted right away, and those plants that are transparent will be available later.

Choose the plant that you would like to sow, tap on it and drag it to the patch. Sowing a plant costs a certain amount of coins. The price depends on how long it takes for the plant to fully develop.

Please note that the number on the panel indicates the number of vegetables / fruit of each type that you have already harvested and have available in your inventory. If the number is zero, it means that the stores of this particular plant have run out, so you will have to sow and grow it to get more.

After sowing, you can tap on the vegetable patch to see the timer counting down minutes and seconds until you can harvest the crop:

As soon as the plant has ripened, tap on the patch again and use the hook to mow it. To do that, tap on the hook and drag it across the patch:

Hint: different types of plants require different time to ripen, so if you don’t want to wait, you can resort to using the fertilizer or speed up ripening for bucks.

You can find out more about this option in this article.

Sowing, growing, and mowing special (heat-loving) plants is carried out in a similar manner. The only difference is that you will be growing them on special heated patches that look as follows:

All the vegetables, fruit, and grains that you harvest are stored in your inventory where you can check the amount that you have:

We wish you a rich harvest! 😊
