There are multiple events and activities in Spring Valley, and they include temporary (time-limited) events which give you an opportunity to complete various tasks and receive valuable rewards!
These events may vary in type and become available starting with level 9.

Temporary events in the game are usually theme-based and may be devoted to different festivals, places and locations, holidays, adventures, etc. During the events, players have to complete tasks within the allotted time and receive rewards.

Temporary events appear in the lower-right corner of the game map. The icon has a timer that counts down the time until the end of the event:

Even though the setting of each particular event is unique and one of a kind, all of them have activities and traits that are similar and can be subdivided into the following categories:

1. General event tasks;
2. Reward marathons;
3. Ratings;
4. Treasures;
5. Energy hubs;
6. Interactive objects;
7. Charged decorations;
8. Mini-games.

NOTE: Not all of these features can be found in each and every temporary event in the game. You may or may not come across some of them in a single event.

Let's go over them in more detail so that you would know what to look for, once the event begins 😉

General event tasks
You will be able to access the event journal in the lower-left corner:

This journal contains different event-specific tasks that can only be completed while the event is active. They can be presented in the form of quests and goals.

Quests are usually small tasks that can be completed within a short period of time (such as finding an object, producing an item, performing an action). They give coins and experience points as a reward.

Goals are broader in scope, as they typically require collecting a number of items or perform a set of actions. You may receive different rewards such as energy, coins, speed-ups, extra feed, dynamite, etc.

Reward marathons
The "Rewards" tab in the event journal is similar to the Farmer's Season (more information here).
In this tab, you can see the rewards given for scoring a certain number of rating points. In the lower row, there are rewards that are available to you at any time.
The upper row contain rewards that become available if you activate the special pass (similar to the Golden Ticket in the Farmer's Season).

Note: the special pass remains active for the duration of the event, but you can activate it at any time (even at the end of the event) and collect the special rewards from the upper row.

Rating
Some of the events offer ratings. To participate in the ratings, you need to score a minimum number of points. Ratings take into account the number of points received for completing tasks. The reward for a place in the ranking is granted only after the end of the event, until this time the positions of the players may change.

Treasures
In some events, you may be offered to gather resources and items for collections that give you special rewards. This feature is described in this article.
The treasures section can only be accessed at the event location, where you can gather the required resources and items. You can tap on the treasures icon to check your progress:

Note: if you return to your home location, you will no longer see the progress until you return to the event location with the treasures.

Energy hubs
You need energy to explore the event site, but don't worry! You may find energy hubs, which are special places where you can obtain extra energy. This feature resembles the fire pit at your home location (please refer to this article for more information).
The idea is to collect the required ingredients to generate energy. You can find them at the event location. The ingredients can be of all types and kinds, such as fruit, plants, substances, food items, etc. The energy hubs themselves can also look different, for example:

Once you have the ingredients, all you need to do is open the energy hub and tap "Start".

Interactive objects
As you explore the event locations, you may stumble upon special objects that give you rewards when you tap on them. Usually, these are objects that are involved in different story quests. Once you complete all the quests related to such an object, it becomes "charged". It means that you can interact with the object by tapping on it and collect a reward. Rewards usually include natural resources or products, animal feed, materials, etc.
Interactive objects can be of any art and kind, so look out for anything that stands out! 😉

Note: interactive objects are not renewable, so you can only collect the reward once.

Charged decorations
Upon completing quests and participating in activities in some events, you may obtain a special charged decoration. It is presented as an object related to the event plot, and your goal is to restore it step-by-step.

Once the event is over, you will receive the rewards from this decoration. The type and number of the rewards will depend on the level of decoration that you have attained during the event.

Mini-games
As you continue exploring the event locations, you can come across special quests - mini-games. There are three types of mini-games in events: the roulette game (photos), puzzles, and swamps.

Roulette game
Some activities in the game events include taking pictures of various items or places at the event location. Taking pictures is presented in the form of a roulette game. The idea of the game is to activate the roulette for a certain amount of energy and collect the number of points shown at the top.
Every attempt gives you the number of points depending on the section chosen by the marker, so you may need to roll the roulette several times to obtain enough points.

A detailed description of puzzles and swamps can be found in this article, make sure to check it out! 😊
