Kate, game designer
Hello everyone! I'm Kate, game designer at SuperCity, and today I'll tell you about one of the changes in the upcoming archaeological expedition.
Problem
We’ve often received negative feedback from you regarding club rankings in expeditions. Many players are members of clubs, but only a few manage to take high places and receive a good reward. This makes the club competition predictable, and for many clubs, receiving a club ranking reward is an unrealistic dream.
Goal
Our main goal was to make the distribution of rewards more even. It was necessary not to kill the spirit of competition, but to make it achievable to get a place in the ranking that would guarantee a reward. In addition, it was necessary for our idea to be feasible from a technical point of view.
We also really wanted to make sure that the end of the expedition and receiving the rewards would be a time of joy rather than disappointment for you!
Solution
This is what we ultimately decided to do: at the start of the next archaeological expedition, the clubs participating in the expedition will be divided into several groups. Each such group will have its own ranking and its own distribution of rewards.
We’ve tried to make it so that you and your teammates feel comfortable playing, competing and that you have a real opportunity to obtain club ranking rewards.
After the expedition is over, we’ll carefully analyze the results for each group and make changes to the system to make the principle of clubs getting into groups as accurate as possible in the next launch. The rewards themselves won’t change.
Wish
We really hope that you’ll like the change in the club rankings!
But that's not all! There will be another update in the archaeological expedition, which you’ll learn about a little later, so please follow the news.
On Friday, we invite you to the expedition to test the updates. And be sure to write reviews, we’ll be happy to check them out!
