A counterattack is a separate type of damage that is triggered in response to an attack.

A counterattack can be performed according to the rules of a basic attack if this is explicitly stated in the counterattack description. For example, when Arkhana's basic attack is activated, counterattacks are performed with all the bonuses from her basic attack, as indicated by its activation.

Examples: Siri's "Edge of Dawn", Nimue's "Nympth's Revenge".
