SuperCity is a game that has made hundreds of players happy every day for over 13 years. The game is continuously updated with new features or core changes. Some information on the internet is already outdated, so we are starting the biggest guide contest in SuperCity history. Help new and other players figure out the game mechanics and find the best strategies to grow the city!

 

🏅 Nominations

The contest features two nominations:

1️⃣ Written guide. Create a ​detailed manual with explanations, screenshots, and helpful tips.

2️⃣ Video guide. Record a video to explain a specific game mechanic, strategy, or other important aspects of SuperCity..

 

📜 Conditions

✍️ For written guides:

  • Minimum length: 10,000 characters (the more detailed, the better!).

  • In-depth explanation of the mechanic or strategy.

  • The visually appealing layout with images and screenshots.

  • Clear and easy guide to understand for everyone.

  • Suitable for community use.

🎥 For video guides:

  • Minimum duration: 5 minutes.

  • High-quality video and audio.

  • Clear structure: introduction, main part, conclusion.

  • Uploaded to YouTube with a shareable link.

 

🎯 How to Participate?

  • Publish your guide in the guides section of the official SuperCity Discord server: https://discord.com/channels/1240647121447944212/1250062459411365929

  • You may participate in multiple nominations but can only win in one.

  • You can participate individually or as a team. In case of a win, the prize will be split among all authors.

  • For Written Guides: 

    • Write a clear and well-structured guide with screenshots to enhance readability and engagement.

    • You can publish your guide right away, or wait until the end of the contest. In any case, you will be able to edit or completely rewrite it until the contest ends.

  • For videos: 

    • Create a visually appealing video with clear narration and subtitles to improve accessibility and understanding.

    • You can publish your video guide at any time before the contest ends. You also can edit the video and re-upload the deadline.

    • You only need to provide the link to the video while submitting the guide in Discord.

  • Submissions are accepted only from players using the game version on Facebook Gaming, Portal, MS Store, and MS Start.

  • Your guide can be published in any language.

  • Copied works will not be considered.

  • (Optional) Include your game ID for publication in the Help Centre. If there are co-authors, please include them too.

  • (Optional) If you represent a fan group on Facebook, you can share its name and link. This information will be included in the article on the Help Centre.

The winning guides will also be published on the Help Centre with the authors' names and player IDs (only if you wish)!

The contest will last for 4 weeks, until April 12, 23:59 (CET).

💡 Guide Topics Ideas

You can come up with your guide topic or choose from the following suggestions:

  • What should the new Mayor do first? Setting priorities for newcomers to the city's growth. An overview of key quests and mechanics.

  • How to unlock new locations? How the location unlocking system works. Optimal strategies for city progression.

  • The best tactics for participating in events: Expedition, Chests, Fortune’s Wheel, Cellar Quest, Airship Travel, etc.

    • For example, explain how the expedition energy works, how long it takes to restore energy, and where else it can be obtained.

  • What are Super Events? Dinosaurs, UFO, and others — what’s going on? Why do we need to help them? Explain that tasks need to be completed within the given time, or the stage will have to be restarted.

  • Types of currencies and what they are needed for (energy, coins, seasonal currency, expedition energy, etc.).

  • Energy for beginners: how to restore. Also, explain what it is spent on: trees, house collection, and even repairing the bridge in Adventure “Hike in the wildlife reserve”.

  • How to level up quickly? Why is it important to level up? Show all the objects tied to level progression. Highlight events that unlock at certain levels. Show key objects that become available at each level. Mention other mandatory mechanics tied to level progression.

  • Everything about the expedition!

  • Factories and their resulting items.
